1. Overview

PlayersEdge ("we", "us", or "the platform") is a youth baseball data platform that lets players, parents, coaches, and scouts record, aggregate, and share baseball performance data. We take the privacy of our users—especially minors—very seriously, and this policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Data We Collect

• Account data: name, email, hashed password (managed by Supabase Auth), role (player, parent, coach, scout, admin).
• Profile data: position, height, weight, graduation year, and optional profile image.
• Performance data: game plays, lineups, box scores, pitch counts, and derived statistics.
• Video and highlights: uploaded game video and generated highlight reels.
• Scouting data: scouting reports and showcase events, subject to visibility settings.
• Integration data: credentials and synced data from connected platforms (GameChanger, Perfect Game, etc.).

3. How We Use Data

• To provide scoring, stats aggregation, and highlight tools.
• To generate public and private player profiles.
• To facilitate recruiting and scouting workflows.
• To operate subscriptions and billing via Stripe.
• To send service notifications and product updates.

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

PlayersEdge is designed for youth baseball players. Players under 13 must register and use the platform with parental or guardian consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us personal information without consent, please contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

5. Data Sharing & Visibility

You control who sees your data through per-record visibility settings: public, team, private, and scouts. We never sell personal data. Aggregate, anonymized statistics may be used for product improvement and research.

6. Data Security

Data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database with row-level security. Passwords are hashed by Supabase Auth. Payments are processed by Stripe—we never store card numbers. Connections to the platform are encrypted via TLS.

7. Your Rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time from your profile settings or by emailing [email protected]. Deleting your account removes your personal data within 30 days.
